Christmas Eve Box: A Family Tradition

Ever since my son was born, I have started the tradition of a Christmas Eve box. Normally we celebrate Christmas with our extended family on Christmas Eve. I always liked the idea of having a small gift for Ray to get since he was getting gifts from everyone else. I also thought about how it would be really late when we would be leaving so I like to put him in pajamas before we go just in case he falls asleep in the car on the way home.

As a kid we never really had this tradition and I like that this is something that I have started with my own family. In the Christmas Eve box I always include a pair of Christmas pajamas, a Christmas book, and maybe a movie if I find a good one. I know that as Ray gets older he will look forward to this Christmas Eve box and hopefully it will be a tradition in his family once he is older.

Here are some ideas for your own Christmas Eve box.

I have also thought about adding in some of his favorite candy or popcorn. I might do this once he is a little bit older and can stay up a little later. Let me know if you have ever done a Christmas Eve box or what you would add in yours!
