Do you H2O?

Since the middle of January I have been doing really well at drinking more water. Now we all know how important drinking water is and all the benefits there are for drinking more water every day but for some reason we just don’t do it. Yes drinking a lot of water means way more bathroom breaks but from my experience after you get used to drinking a certain amount of water your body starts to adjust.

I purchased some bottles from a company called The Big Bottle Co. They hold 2.2 liters (about 74.4 oz) of water which is great because I know that if I drink one bottle then I got all my water in for the day. Back when I was training I was drinking a gallon of water a day (128 oz). That is a lot of water but I was also training 2-3 hours a day and doing about 1-2 hours of cardio a day.

For me the biggest change that I have noticed in the past month of drinking all this water is my energy levels getting better and better. I no longer want to fall asleep during the day. I have also noticed that I have less headaches than I used to which amazing. I know that I used to get killer headaches when I quit drinking coffee and I wonder now if I would have switch to drinking more water if the headaches would not be so bad.

One thing that I have not noticed a big difference in is healthy, clearer skin. Recently my skin has been worse than ever. More breakouts and drier skin. The dry skin could be because of the way the weather around here keeps changing so drastically that the air is super dry. The breakouts I am hoping is due to toxins being pushed out of my body.

Over all I am definitely going to continue to drink this much water every day. The benefits of increased energy are definitely worth the few extra bathroom breaks.
