As we all know the holiday season and party season is upon us. With that we have to have our makeup on point. Right!? I have come up with some of my favorite looks that are sure to be favorites of yours. From my simple everyday look to the sultry party look. Here are some of my favorite ways to do my makeup this season.
Using just a light shadow and keeping the dark shades to a minimum really helps keep this look clean and simple. I always like to do lighter colors on the inner corners of my eyes and on my lids to help open up the eyes and keep them bright. For my liner I used a dark brown shadow to keep the softer look yet add some dimension to my eyes. I used a coral colored gloss on my lips and my look was complete. Super simple and perfect for day time errands and hanging around the house.
A super simple thing to do to take you day look up a notch is to add a little bit of color with your shadows and a little lip stick. For this look I used my normal brown palette for my eyes and then added in a maroon color for the outside corner and crease. I still stuck with the same brown shadow for my liner to keep a little bit softer look since it is for day time. I choose a nude liquid lip stick over top of an red lip liner. Make sure to fill in your entire lip with the liner and then put the lipstick over top. This helps to make the nude color not look so brown. This is a perfect look to give you a little bit of difference other then just a nude eye.
For this look I did not want to do a complete smokey eye since we were having a “date night” lunch. I wanted something other than just my normal every day look so I decided to used a darker almost navy blue shade for my outside corners and crease. I used a copper shimmer color for my lid and put a light shimmer color at the inner corner. The lighter colors help to keep my eyes still open and bright yet the dark makes it a little more sultry. I used a black pencil liner to give me a little bit harsher line. However, I do used a brush to smudge it a little. I also line my upper water line from the outside corner to the middle. For my lips I used the nude shadow with a coral gloss over top to give it a more shimmery look instead of a matte.
Time To Party
For a night time or a party look I decided to do a more smokey eye with a darker red lip. I first used a light base color and a bronze cream shadow on my lid. Then In the outer corner and through the crease I used a purple shimmer powder that has more of a black base. I then took a silver shimmer and patted it onto the lid and over top of that put a highlight shimmer color to really brighten up my eyes and make them not look too dark. I lined my eyes with a purple eyeliner on the top and bottom. I also mixed some of the purple shadow with the black base over the purple liner on the bottom. This helped to bring the eye look all together. I finished with a 3D fiber mascara and a Burgundy red lip with a gloss overtop. A perfect look for a night out with just enough shimmer to make you know that it is going to be a fun night.
