Style Files: Your Must Have Pieces for This Cold Winter

I don’t know about where you live but this past week we have had record breaking low temperatures here. I cannot believe how cold it actually is. Now I know that most of the time it is cold in the winter just never this cold. Being able to run errands or just sit in your house without freezing is definitely at the top of my list right now. Here are some of my must haves for these types of cold days.

A Great Pair of Boots

Having a great pair of winter boots is a must. However, most of the boots are not all that stylish. So finding a pair that actually keep your feet warm while looking great with everything is a must. I never like to give up style for comfort that is why finding the right pair has to happen.

An Amazing Jacket

I am loving the jackets that have the fur on the hoods right now. My favorite are the ones that are also a little longer. This makes it better when that wind chill is so cold at least most of your body is covered. I don’t know why but I am also obsessed with the ones that are that dark plum or a burgundy color as well. Something a little different than just the typical black.

The Perfect Hat

The style for hats is now back to being a little bit bigger rather than a tight beanie. I am absolutely loving the ones I keep seeing on people with the poof on the top as well. My absolute favorite are the ones from Love Your Melon. Not only are they great looking hats but they also donate half the proceeds to childhood cancer. Warm Sweaters

An amazing sweater that keeps you warm is also a must during this cold time of year. My favorite right now are the turtle neck and cowel neck sweaters. I love that they are oversized and almost feel like big knit blankets while you have them on. Whether you are lounging around at home or are working at the office they are a must to keep you warm and comfy. (You can find more of my favorite sweaters here)

Fleeced Lined Leggings

I personally love wearing fleeced lined leggings especially when I am planning on playing around outside with my son. A lot of times when it is this cold out I will also wear them underneath my jeans to help keep me warm when running errands. (Just make sure to wear your jeans that are a little big on you) They are super comfortable and are perfect to wear by themselves as well with an oversized sweater.
