Now that the weather is starting to get a little bit cooler it is time for me to start changing my wardrobe over to fall. This year I am loving the idea of sticking with some summer pieces longer and just adding a few things in order to change make them more appropriate for fall. I love that I am able to get more wear out of some of my favorites and still stay warm as the weather is changing. I also have to remember that where we live the weather can be kind of crazy. Such as being really chilly in the morning but by noon getting so hot that we are back in summer clothes. Being able to layer overtop of my summery stuff is perfect for those days that it really heats up unexpectedly.
My favorite thing that I have been wearing lately are some of my maxi dresses and skirts and pairing them with a cute denim jacket. It keeps the dress looking casual while also keeping me warmer when it is getting cold.
Dress: Floral Halter Maxi Dress, Jacket: Paige Rowan Jacket, Shoes: Tess Ghillie Flat Lace Up Ballerina Flats
I am also loving the fact that I am able to pair an open front sweater with almost any tank top that I have. I love pairing them with a nice pair of skinny jeans and a pair of ankle boots.
Sweater: Chicnico Loose Sexy V Neck Sweater, Jeans: Vici Eton Frayed Skinnies, Boots: Jennifer Lopez Charlie Ankle Boots
For fall I also really like wearing some button down long sleeve shirts with my summer tank tops. I like to pair them with a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of mules or loafers. (See my new shoe obsession here). This is a great casual look with out being too warm and is great for those days when the air is a little cooler.
Shirt: Ralph Lauren Cotton Poplin Shirt, Jeans: American Eagle Super Soft Super Low Jegging, Shoes: Gucci Princetown Leather Slipper
Lastly, I am loving the blanket scarf trend for fall as well. They are perfect for any fall day and you can pair them with a simple long sleeve shirt or even a tee shirt. Perfect for a fall day going to an apple orchard.
