Younique Makeup Presenters Kit Review

Just this past week I finally decided to buy the Younique Makeup Presenters Kit. Make up for me used to be something that was really fun. Then I had my son and everything changed. It was something that I just started putting on quickly. I also was in search for some good makeup that looked a little better than the cheap stuff that I kept wearing. My biggest problem was that my skin changed so much after having my son so everything that had worked before was not that great anymore. I was also sick of spending money on products that I did not like after a couple times trying them.

Buying the presenters kit was a risk. However, I don’t know about any of you but if you follow anyone that sells it or wears this makeup, most of the time it looks amazing. I figured that it couldn’t hurt to get a bunch of new makeup for $99. (If you figure that when you buy makeup at Ulta about four products equals that price.)

What Comes In The Kit

  1. Moodstruck 3D Fiber Mascara ($29)

This mascara is a two step mascara that helps to give you long lashes and great volume. It uses buildable fibers in order to extend your lashes to give you that great look. At first I was somewhat apprehensive to try this mascara since I have such small lashes I wasn’t too sure about getting the fibers that close to my eye. I also have not had great luck with different mascaras in the past and a lot of times my lashes look more spidery than anything else. I will say that this product might become one of my favorites through. I think a lot of it is figuring out a good way for your own lashes to put it on. I have only used it a couple times but I kind of like it. This is something that I will use for date night for sure!

  2. Moodstruck Epic Mascara ($24)

This is the mascara that I tried right after I got my kit. I have now found my new favorite and go to mascara! I love that it is only a one step mascara that has been able to give me more length through my lashes and was pretty much clump free when I put it on. I have also heard that a lot of people like to use this as the base coat for the 3D Fiber Mascara which I can see how that would look amazing as well. I will say that if you have tried the 3D Fiber Mascara and was not in love with that this stuff will be what you are looking for!

  3. Moodstruck Esteem Lash Serum ($42)

The Moodstruck Esteem Lash Serum is supposed to help you get thicker, fuller, longer-looking lashes. We all know that this is something that I am desperately in need of. I do not understand where my son got his thick, long lashes but it was definitely not from me thats for sure! I am hoping this stuff works. I like that I only have to put it on my lashes and that you can use it before you put on your mascara in the morning. I have tried stuff before that you put on your lash line and I always felt like it got either in my eye or on my eye lid before it fully dried. This lash serum dries pretty quickly and seems to stay put when I sleep. (They do recommend that you use it at night for best results.) I have only been using it for a couple days so we will see how it works!

  4. Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Pallet 4 ($49 each, $130 for all three palettes)

Who doesn’t love a great eyeshadow palette right! This palette is perfect for starting out with. It gives you the perfect colors to do a nude eye while also giving you colors to do a great smokey eye. For the most part I am the type to just do a nude eye or keep it somewhat toned down during the day. However, I like being able to have the colors I need to do a great smokey eye for a special night. Having all of these color in one palette is perfect if you are traveling as well. One thing that I really love about the shadows is that they are really pigmented so a little goes a long way. I will say that with cheaper makeup getting this kind of color and being able to shade it this well is really hard to do. This is definitely the perfect daily go to palette. The company also offers two other addiction palettes depending on what you like, however, you do not get them with the kit.

  5. Splurge Cream Shadow ($26 each, $70 for set of three)

I am not too sure how I feel about this shadow. I have never really used a cream shadow before so it tends to scare me a bit. I think personally I would like one of the matte colors more that the shimmer ones. Hopefully in the next week or so I will be able to try the color that I got and see if I can figure out the best way for myself to wear it. The color that comes with the kit is called Tenacious and is a golden shimmery color. All together there are 12 matte colors and 12 shimmer colors. All of them look so pretty and I have been told they go on super smooth. We will have to wait and see on this one!

  6. Moodstruck Pressed Shadow ($18 for single compact, $52 for quad palette, $14 for refill)

I think the best part about the pressed shadows is that if you decided you want to make a quad palette of your favorite colors you are able to mix and match everything. The kit comes with two colors and a single compact case for each. I love how they give you a matte and a shimmer color so you can see how both are when applied. The colors that you get in the kit are very neutral, however, I cannot believe how saturated the colors are. I really love this because I like to use a shadow as eyeliner on days when I want a softer look.

  7. Moodstruck Eye Primer ($24)

I love that this kit comes with an eye primer. I have never really gave much thought to wearing any sort of primer. After using this eye primer I cannot put my makeup on without it. Primer helps to keep your makeup in place. This primer has a nude cream base and really helps with keeping liners and shadows in place and keeps it from smearing. I have always had the problem of my liner smearing and running at the corners of my eyes for some reason. After using this eye primer I have not had that problem at all. Now, maybe I will be able to try out a winged liner look!

  8. Moodstruck Precission Pencil Eyeliner ($15)

I will say that I am pretty picky when it comes to eyeliner because of the problems I have with smearing and running. This liner was so creamy when I put it on and was really nice. For me I will just have to make sure I always have it sharpened when I am using it since it is a black liner and I don’t like my line to be too thick. I have seen some other people use a different shade in this pencil that looked really nice. With 11 different colors to choose from there is something for everyone.

  9. Moodstruck Precision Pencil Lip Liner ($15)

Along with the eye liner the kit also comes with a lip liner. It has a fine tip that makes it super easy to line your lips with. The only downfall with this is that the kit comes with the color popular which is more of a red. I don’t know about you but with the 10 shades available I am going to be getting a couple more in shades that I can wear for an everyday look.

(Any combination of eyeliners and/or lipliners $40 for 3, $125 for 10, or $235 for the whole set of 21)

  10. Moodstruck Splash Liquid Lipstick ($27, $73 for a set of 3)

As we all know the new craze in lipsticks it the liquid lipstick that has a matte finish. Younique offers 16 different colors to choose from. The color Stubborn comes in the kit and again it is more of a red. It matches really well with the lip liner that comes with the kit as well. I really like the liquid lipsticks because once they dry they usually stay put for a long time. However, some people do not like the way feel once they are dry. I usually like to put a little bit of gloss or lip balm over top of mine. It does not last quite as long by doing this but when my lips are really dry it is a must.

  11. Moodstruck Minerals Lucrative Lip Gloss ($15, $40 for a set of 3)

This lip gloss is amazing. I love how it is not sticky or heavy once you put it on. I have tried so many different types of lip gloss and most I do not like at all. I was so surprised how well this went on and I love the shear color that it has. The color that comes with the kit is called Lovesick which is a light coral color. I love how it looks just wearing it by itself or when I have put it overtop of some liquid lipstick that I have. It is the perfect daytime gloss that fits easily into your purse. (Having a little mirror on the tube is an added bonus or applying it on the go!)

  12. Touch a La Mode Cream to Powder Luminizer ($39)

A perfect little highlighter that is creamy when it goes on but blends like a powder. I love that it comes in a tube and is something that I can easily throw in my bag when I am going somewhere. I have never really used a luminizer before but I love how I am able to put a little on my brow bone to give my eyes a little pop.

  13. Younique Royalty Pore Purifying Cleanser ($39)

Since I have only started using this cleanser this past week I am not too sure how well it will work for me. So far it has not dried my skin out at all and I love how creamy it is. It has jojoba beads that help to cleanse and exfoliate your skin while willow birch extract helps to balance it. Right now I love it and I am going to continue to use it!

  14. Younique Royalty Rose Water Toning Spritz ($29)

Perfect for using after washing your face and especially before doing your makeup. This spray refreshes, calms, and tones your skin. I have used it in the afternoon to give my skin a little boost now that the weather has been getting colder and more dry. This is definitely a must in my book.

  15. Blending Brush ($18)

Ideal for blending eyeshadows. It is the perfect brush to have that seamlessly blended line of color to create depth and transition on your eyes. This brush is great since I have not bought a good blending brush yet.

  16. Angled Shadow/ Sponge Brush ($15)

I love using this brush to get the color I want directly on my eyelid. I have a different brush that I use for putting darker shadow on my crease. This one since it is angled helps to blend both colors together seamlessly. With the sponge brush on the other end you cannot go wrong with this brush for your eyeshadow.

  17. Mask Samples ($49 each for a full size jar)

The kit comes with three different types of masks. You get two of each. An exfoliating mask that removes dirt and oil while helping give the appearance of smaller pores. An oil control mask that reduces the appearance of pores and also improves skin clarity and tone. This one is formulated for sensitive skin. A detoxifying mask uses bamboo charcoal to absorb toxins and impurities and reintroduce oxygen to your skin. It removes dead skin cells while the tree oils help to nourish and condition the skin. I used this mask the other day and I loved it. I cannot wait to use the other sample that I got in this kit.

  18. Younique Branded, Purple Faux Leather Makeup Bag

When I received my kit I was initially surprised at how big the bag actually is. In my mind I was going to get a small little makeup bag that I would probably never use. The bag that comes with this kit is perfect for holding all of my makeup especially if I am going anywhere. On the outside it has pockets on each end and pouches on each side. On the inside there are lots of little pockets and a couple places that will hold a couple makeup brushes.

  19. Promo Materials to Sell the Product

*All prices are what you would pay retail without having it in the presenters kit.

In the end I have loved everything so much that I am starting to sell the products as well. For anyone like me that is just sick of using crapy makeup and would like to use something that will last a while and is really good quality this is definitely the stuff to get. Initially I was only going to get the kit in order to get all the great makeup. If you love everything in this kit you can get it too with no obligation to sell it at all. I think that if you are going to spend any money on these products the best thing you can do is buy the kit. Spending $99 for all of this which is really a $439 value is amazing. And you get all full size products not just little samples that you can only use a couple times.
